The History of Laclede County, Missouri, Volume 1, by Lois Roper Beard (1979). A more focused history of Laclede County, providing in-depth information

Laclede County, Missouri: History and Families" (2000) by Laclede County Genealogical Society.  A compilation focused on the county's history and families.

Plat Book of LaClede County, Missouri, and Plat Books of LaClede County, Missouri (Various dates): These plat books, like the one published by the Western Publishing Company (Chicago, Ill.), are valuable for land ownership and property records.
